Two of the key concepts that the examiners want to see you demonstrating understanding of are change and \"\"<\/a>continuity.\u00a0 This particularly comes in to\u00a0the turning point in government style of questions, where you must\u00a0show understanding of the distinciton between a\u00a0‘change’ and a ‘turning point’.\u00a0\u00a0One analogy\u00a0I have used in my lessons is to\u00a0compare\u00a0events to a road.\u00a0 A\u00a0change would be the road\u00a0changing\u00a0from 30 to 60 mph when the pace of something changes. A turning point would be a T-junction or roundabout where there is a distinct change in direction.<\/p>\n

My year 13s\u00a0have used this\u00a0as\u00a0the basis to create road maps of the course we have studied.\u00a0 They are going to comment on this to explain the thinking behind\u00a0their road\u00a0maps\u00a0and how they have\u00a0selected and conveyed events we have studied.\u00a0\u00a0For example, one of the group\u00a0reflected the introduction of redemption payments\u00a0after the Emancipation with a toll road.<\/p>\n
